About Yoheved

I am a LMSW in good standing. I hold a BA from Columbia University (Barnard College), a BA from JTS, a MEd from Hebrew College and an MSW from Louisiana State University. Currently, I work with One Village Counselling. In addition to these credentials, I have extensive experience in community organizing, community care, and creative world-building oriented towards love, justice, and vulnerability.

I grew up around the U.S., I was a first-generation college student, and I know what it’s like to maneuver in environments where you are impacted by multiple systems of oppression and violence; are seen as different; feel like an outsider; or feel unwanted.

I’m a parent of multiples, and understand how becoming a parent and being utterly responsible for children who did not ask to be born changes your life.

I also know what it's like to need to radically change your life and your relationships for the better: how daunting it can be to face the truth, and the genuine courage that change requires.
